As the leader of teaching and learning at our school, I believe that every child can be successful in their learning every day. When children know that they are learning that they are being successful, they are engaged and happy. To be successful, we must have several strategies in our ‘toolbox’.

Our goal at Sacred Heart is to equip your child with strategies that will set them up for further success in high school and beyond. Core to this is the engagement of you, our families, in the learning process through positive partnerships.

At Sacred Heart, we believe in positive, productive partnerships. Often, as families, we ask ourselves: ‘Which school is best for my child?’ The truth is, that so long as you are ‘plugged into’ your child’s progress through positive relationships with your child, your child will succeed anywhere. I believe that schools and families partnering together guarantees the success of every child.

Families and other visitors walking through our school often comment on the ‘warm’ and ‘welcoming’ community environment. Our Catholic identity is core to this in the way we support all members of our community with care and compassion. At Sacred Heart, we aim to bring our Mercy values of integrity, compassion, hospitality, and excellence alive in everything we do.
